Suite à la diffusion de nombreuses émissions de cuisine à la télévision (Master Chef, Top Chef, Un dîner presque parfait), le BDI (Bureau des Internationaux) du Groupe Sup de Co La Rochelle a décidé de mettre en place son propre concours culinaire : Sup de Cook.
Cette année, vous pourrez assister à sa deuxième édition le samedi 15 mars 2014, au Studio de l’Océan, près de l’espace Encan.
Le principe est simple. Les candidats doivent, à partir de consignes simples telles que « faîtes une entrée autour de l’œuf » ou « un dessert sur la base du chocolat » et dans un temps limité, cuisiner avec créativité, originalité et succès l’intégralité d’un repas (entrée-plat-dessert). L’esprit d’équipe, la disponibilité, l’efficacité et l’ouverture d’esprit des membres seront des critères particulièrement importants durant les épreuves.
Ses équipes seront mixtes. C’est-à-dire qu’elles comprendront des étudiants français et internationaux, permettant ainsi de mélanger les différentes cultures. Au fur et à mesure du repas, les équipes qui seront victorieuses à chacun des plats resteront dans la course, pour s’affronter finalement en face à face lors de la réalisation du dessert.
Les plats seront jugés par trois chefs cuisiniers d’une grande renommée, Christopher Coutanceau, Arnaud Bétoux (chef du restaurant « Les 4 Sergents ») et le chef Mickael Rousselot du « Baïtona ».
Afin de divertir les nombreux spectateurs attendus pendant la journée, des activités seront organisées. Par exemple, des dégustations et saveurs d’ailleurs seront exposées sous forme de quizz mettant en action les différents sens, des démonstrations de cuisine moléculaire ou de préparation de sushi, des activités de détente et de création seront également présentes.
Les gagnants du concours se verront offrir une belle récompense, qui reste encore une surprise à l’heure d’aujourd’hui.

« Everybody to your stove ! »
Following the lead of many cooking shows on TV (Master Chef, Top Chef, « Un dîner presque parfait »), the BDI (Bureau des Internationaux) of Sup de Co La Rochelle has decided to create it’s own cooking competition: Sup de Cook.
This year, you are invited to take part in the second edition of the competition, on Saturday the 15th of March 2014 at the ‘Studio of the Ocean’ near the Espace Encan.
The principle is simple. The competitors must – make an entree which features egg as the main ingredient OR make a chocolate based dessert and in a limited amount of time, cook with creativity, originality and success their meal (entree, main and dessert). The team spirit, the availability, the efficiency and the open-mindedness of the members will be a particularly important criteria during the challenge.
The teams will consist of international and French students which will allow a mix of cultures. As the competition goes on, the teams who are victorious with their dishes will stay in the race and be able to battle face to face in the final round: the desert.
The plates will be judged by three well-known chefs – Christopher Coutanceau, Arnaud Bétoux, the chef of the restaurant « Les 4 Sergents » and Mickael Rousselot from the restaurant « Baïtona ». With the purpose of entertaining the numerous spectators throughout the day there will be some activities organised. For example, local and foreign tastings will be introduced in the form of a quiz which will exercise the different senses. There will also be demonstrations of molecular cooking, the preparation of sushi and relaxation/creative exercises to be presented. The winners of the competition will be offered a beautiful prize which will stay a surprise until the day!
